Answer to Viz - 1

hey !

The man in the first picture is John Gottman. He is known for his research on how well marriages sustain.

The man in the second picture is Warren Harding who served as the President of the United States. He is known to be one of the worst American Presidents ever.

The third picture shows the famous " Getty Kouros", for which the J Paul Getty Museum had been cheated and a chemically aged statue was sold.

The theory involved is the "Theory of Thin Slicing". According to Malcolm Gladwell's "Blink", he uses this as a term to describe the ability to find patterns in events based only on "thin slices," or narrow windows, of .experience. And Gottman proves marriage sustenance as he thin slices. People thin sliced Harding to be a good president while he was never one. And the Kouros was thin sliced to be fake by two experts but their warnings were not taken up by the Museum. All these examples are cases of positive, negative, postitive occurrences of this theory as described by Gladwell.
